When I run it together with my AC, my room cools down much faster — it was a lifesaver during the recent heat dome in my area! Even though my main AC couldn’t bring the room temperature down enough, I added ice and water to this little unit (just as the instructions suggested) and the airflow felt much cooler. On its own, it may not lower the temperature of an entire room, but if you place it on your bedside table or desk, the direct cool breeze is more than enough. I saw some negative reviews, but I think it comes down to personal preference. For me, I can’t sleep with the AC or fan running all night without catching a cold. With this device, I can angle it toward my legs, set the timer, and fall asleep comfortably without freezing. Absolutely satisfied with this purchase.
